Survey Controller 10 and the 5700 both support cell phones.

Survey Controller V7.5 added support for configuring a cellular modem as the radio. It is recommend for use with 4700/4800 V1.20+

In a number of cases a cable will need to be made for a 4700/4800, but the 5700 will not require one.

To work with Survey Controller the following are the requirements

Modem must be built into the phone, if a PCMCIA card is required then it will not work
The modem must be hayes compatible, everything is now days
The modem must have a RS232 connection,
Generally we will just use the converter cable 37779 to connect to the cell phone to PC cable
